Multi-functional event & music venue in the heart of South London
The Brief
We were commissioned by Peckham Levels to develop a new identity for 450, their brand new multi-functional event and music venue in the heart of South London. Aptly named after its capacity, 450 is home to a carefully curated programme of live music, parties, brand activations and interactive experiences, within the spheres of culture, arts and gastronomy.

The brand mechanic makes use of arrows, acknowledging the signage found in regenerated car out of which Peckham Levels was born. These run through the branding from the logo to decorative. The main mechanic utilises the ‘4’ to replace the word ‘For’ and is combined with an arrow pointing relevant word such as 4 (For) Community.
Simplified & accessible elements to produce brand materials in house
We made use of elements available within the ‘Space Grotesk‘ font to add interest and direction to visuals without the need to build a large bank of assets that are difficult and confusing to use. The font was loaded into Canva and created templates to easily drop in new content for social media campaigns, posters and promo material.
A brand that lets the artists be the focus
We created the 450 brand to let the artists and events be the focus. A limited, industrial colour palette and type sit alongside the architecture of the venue and stylised arrows direct the viewer to the performer or featured brand.
